Those who are good, I treat as good. Those who are not good, I also treat as good.
In so doing, I gain in goodness’.

Those who have respect, I have respect for. Those who do not have respect,
I still have respect for. In so doing, I gain in respectfulness.
The legendary musician, Lucky Dube said, ‘ even if we don’t like each other,
we don’t agree with what the other people are doing,
we don’t have love for the other people in our lives,
but if we have respect… the world can be a better place for all of us’.
He also said, ‘ in the past, we have talked about love, unity and stuff like that,
In Lucky’s song ‘Respect’, he said, ‘respect who I am and not what I am.
Give love to those who give you love, love to those who give you war.
Give love to those who hate you, bless even those who curse you’.
This to me, is one of the most profound lyrics I have ever heard.A
