Connect airplay app, a most innovative advertising platform has been launched in Accra. 
Connect Airplay app is a platform that gives musicians the opportunity to forward their songs to Radio DJs nation wide in order to get Radio airplays without paying payola. 

As a motivation, DJ's on the app get airplay rewards so as to also help them buy internet data for app usage, music streaming and downloads. 

The app rewards upto GHc 40 a day to DJ's for usage expenses. Because of this platform Radio DJ's can support artistes. 

An artiste can get started with a GHc 60 starter pack. The app monitors for radio airplays and artistes always get notified whenever their songs get played on Radio.

Kwabena Gyang-Taah, the youngster behind the innovation is a graduate from Methodist University;an entrepreneur and musician who has over the years worked with fortune 500 companies as well as small to medium sized businesses with comprehensive business solutions in the field of technology. 

As a musician, he found it very difficult to promote his music on radio and TV due to several challenges. He then took it upon himself to build an innovative solution that not only works for him but also goes a long way to help other musicians in the music industry who are unable to share their talents because of such road blocks.

The App can be downloaded on google play store with any smart device. Subscription to the App is free and it allows subscribers to view and monitor on their phones and computers which media houses are playing their advert; thus, making it easy for creative tracking and accountability. Media operators, businesses and artistes can now, effectively, monetise their trade efficiently. 

The CEO and App developer of Connect airplay, Mr. Kwabena Gyang-Taah said, ‘Our App platform will help the creative industry and businesses a lot; they can now, with low budget, promote their works on over hundred radio and tv stations across the country’. He added that, connect airplay will soon be crossing the shores of Ghana into other African countries of interest in order for advertising reach to widen for subscribers.

A young graduate of Ghana Institute of Journalism has braved the odds by turning used and rejected vehicle tyres and scraps into beautiful and useful furniture and a business venture. It had been four years since Jean-Marie Wellrich was gainfully employed; In 2018, she lost her job because she was pregnant and her employer, who was not enthused about the news, found a nice way to dismiss her.
