Unique Ghana Architecture and Design Festival (GADF) launched

The Ghana skyline has seen a dramatic uplift in recent years as a result of the rise in high-end work spaces and apartment buildings. Communities are being transformed into modern enclaves of luxury, style and creativity through design and architecture.
In recognizing the improvements to Ghana’s overall beauty and international appeal, the Ghana Architecture and Design Festival has been launched by Brandason.

The festival aims to celebrate and promote Ghanaian architecture and design talent through the month-long celebration featuring over 30 events and design installations.

Each event in the festival presents varied ways of viewing and experiencing Ghanaian architecture and design. From architecture and interiors to graphic, industrial, fashion, furniture, light, carpets, upholstery, art, metal work, woodwork sculpture and experiential design, the festival promises the best of the local design scene as well as some exciting national and international creativity.

‘The event will help Ghanaians appreciate the design and creative industries in a unique way and pave the way for emerging talent to strive for excellence’, Emelia Ainooson, the Managing Director of Brandason said about the festival.

The highlight of the festival is the awards reception where visionaries and creative thinkers will be honoured in 15 categories for their contributions to the beautification of the country through architecture and design.

Victor Wellrich, the operations manager, concluded that ‘Ghanaian architects and designers have come a long way in improving the Ghanaian skyline, and I believe that the festival is a great way to celebrate that’.
